Error Messages
The system displays error messages if an inappropriate setting is chosen from the programming menus. This
chapter describes the appropriate actions to be performed if an error message displays during programming.
Keypad Communication Problems
Vicon recommends that all keypads be set to the same baud rate. If communication problems occur, check
connections to each keypad. Also check the Set Keypad Profiles Menu to ensure that all keypads are set to
the same baud rate, as described here:
1. Access the Set Keypad Profiles Menu.

→

→
Set Keypad Profiles
2. With the cursor to the left of the keypad number, press the numeric keypad’s + key to scroll through the
settings for all keypads, noting the baud rate for each.
3. If the baud rates are not the same for all keypads, use the
↓
key to move the cursor to the baud rate. Use
the + or - key to change the baud rate if necessary.
4. Note that the baud rate set in the keypads and the baud rate set for the Pilot Select must be the same.
Number of Administrators
At least one user must be assigned administrator privilege. The Set User Profiles Menu may not be exited
until an administrator profile has been defined. Perform the following procedure if this message displays.

1. Press the Enter key to return to the User Profile screen.
2. Press the + or - key to select a user number.
3. Use the
↓
key to access the user privilege. Use the + or - key to assign administrator privilege. Edit other
settings if necessary.
4. Press Enter to save settings and return to the Administration Menus.
