Configure Host Port
The HOST port located on the rear connector of the Pilot Select is typically connected to a personal computer
(the “host computer”). Unless the PC is running software that automatically detects the communication
settings, the PC’s communication settings must be defined. The settings for the host computer and the Pilot
Select must agree.

The baud rate is the speed at which data is transferred between the Pilot Select and the host computer. The
baud rate of the host computer must agree with the parameter set in this screen.

Data Bits
The data bits are the number of bits in each data character. Unless the configuration file will be transferred to
or from the host computer, either setting below may be used as the number of data bits (the same number
must be specified at the host computer and in this screen). If the system’s configuration file will be uploaded
or downloaded, the data bits must be set at 8 at both the host computer and in this menu setting.
