3.3.5.2 Front Panel Backlight Off Timer
If desired, change the Backlight Off setting by pressing the ENTER key,
and using the cursor keys, change the setting as desired. When the
desired setting is shown on the display, press the ENTER key again to
enter the parameter into memory.
3.3.5.3 Front Panel Lock
If desired, change the FP Lock setting by pressing the ENTER key, and
using the cursor keys, change the setting as desired. When the desired
setting is shown on the display, press the ENTER key again to enter the
parameter into memory.

When all the configuration parameters above are set, initial the
table in Appendix B.
3.4 Transmitting and Verifying the Uplink Signal
To transmit and verify that the uplink signal to the satellite is
operational, perform the following steps.
1. Ensure the VBM-1400 is configured per the values recorded in
Appendix A.
2. Connect test equipment to the TX MON port and verify spectrum
looks normal.

When the above steps are successfully completed, initial the
table in Appendix B.
If the VBM-1400 fails to transmit the uplink signal, refer to Section 6.
3.5 Normal Operations
When properly connected and configured, the VBM-1400 operates
unattended.
1. When satisfied that the VBM-1400 is operating properly, make sure
all connections are secure.
2. If operating under remote control, go to Section 4.
