Climatix control unit
Heating - automatic mode
The boiler must be in the ON mode (display of the Climatix control unit ).
Heating demand is generated by closing an external control. External control is a potential-free switch contact to
which the room thermostat (D1) can be connected at heating to the boiler temperature. The boiler will be heated to
the desired temperature. The fan and the fuel feeder will start according to the set parameters for the operation and
delay of the feeder. This is indicated by the green LED shining on the boiler display.
The pump switches on reaching the defined temperature of the boiler. If during the heating there is a decline in the
output temperature by 5 °C below the set temperature for the pump switch on, it is switched off. When the demand
on heating ends, the pump will stop. When the set temperature of the boiler is exceeded, the boiler changes to the
attenuation state. If the demand for heating continues, the pump remains in operation. At the decline of the output
temperature of the boiler (the set temperature minus hysteresis), the automatic mode is switched on again.
•
The boiler is configured in the factory so that to heat to the set temperature of the boiler.
•
It is not necessary to connect the outdoor sensor.
•
Below shown terminals are bridged at the factory.
•
To use the room unit (D1), the terminals must be disconnected and the room unit must be connected.
•
The desired boiler temperature can be adjusted in the menu Boiler temperature/External control.
Climatix POL 423
Climatix POL 687
Note: The control unit allows equithermal heating circuit control with the use of the outdoor sensor and mixing
valves. Conditions for configuration and wiring are described in the separate Control unit user manual.
Hot water (HW) heating
Hot water heating is not configured at the factory. Conditions for configuration and wiring are described in the
separate Control unit user manual.
For the correct HW heating function it is necessary to set HW element (the pump or the three-way valve) in the
menu
B3 Hot water/HW actuator
The requirement for the hot water heating is generated by the B3 sensor. The requirement occurs when the
temperature in the water heater is decreased by the set hysteresis. This is indicated by the green LED shining on
the boiler display. The three-way valve is turned to the hot water circuit. The boiler pump for the HW heating is
switched as follows:
HWact (°C)
+
Increase for the boiler from
HW (°C)
=
Boiler temperature – at reaching this temperature the
boiler pump will be running
2
Example:
Actual temperature HWact = 55 °C
Increase for the boiler from HW = 10 °C
Boiler temperature = 70 °C = the boiler pump will be running
65 °C +
10 °C
=
70 °C – at reaching this temperature the boiler pump will be
running
2
At failure to comply with this condition, the pump will be stopped to prevent the cooling of the water heater. After
termination of the requirement for hot water, there will be defined run-down of the three-way valve to the water
heater. If at the same time the demand for heating is active, there will be no run-down of the three-way valve.
During the HW hearing, the temperature for the boiler is increased by the factory preset value. If there is no demand
for heating, the three-way valve remains turned into the HW circuit.
