Midstream Start
If a midstream start fails to find a valid video sequence header within the 3.5MB
buffer, playback stops and the follow error is returned:
This means the decoder could not find an valid MPEG start code within the data
contained in the MPEG buffer. The decoder stops playback of the video clip.
Audio Timeout Error
A timeout loop checks for audio buffer fullness within the MPEG decoder hard-
ware. If no change has been detected for ~1.5 seconds, playback stops. This can
occur if the MPEG stream is invalid or the audio bit rate is not a legal MPEG rate.
The following error will be returned:
This is a fatal playback error, in which the decoder is informing the host system
that playback has stopped. A
RESET
BUFFER
command, new data (via
WRITE
10),
and a new
MPEG
PLAY
command are required before playback can resume or be
restarted.
