Safety and installation information
e
Danger!
Risk of electric shock!
Always switch off the power supply be-
fore carrying out any electrical installa-
tion work. Make sure that they are se-
cured against inadvertent switching on
again.
a
Caution!
Risk of damage!
The electrical connection must be
equipped with a customer-supplied isola-
tion device having a contact separation
of at least 3 mm on all lines (e.g. a line
protection switch).
It makes sense to fit this isolation device in the immedi-
ate vicinity of the heat pump.
a
Caution!
Risk of damage!
The electrical installation may only be
undertaken by an authorised engineer.
a
Caution!
Risk of short circuits!
When connecting conductors carrying
230 V to the ProE plug, do not strip the
insulation back by more than 30 mm for
safety reasons.
If you strip back by more than this,
there is a risk of short circuits to the
PCB if the conductors are not correctly
attached in the plug.
a
Caution!
Risk of malfunction!
The lines for the outside temperature
sensor and the room thermostat carry
small, weak currents. Interference from
the environment can have an effect on
the sensor lines and transmit incorrect
information to the heat pump controller,
and for this reason the sensor lines
must be run absolutely correctly.
Low current lines must be run at an ade-
quate distance from high current lines. If
low and high current lines are run in par-
allel, a minimum distance of 25 cm ap-
plies for lengths greater than 10 m.
Furthermore, take note:
– For electric power supply, connect the heat pump
onto the 230-V power mains. Fuse this connection as
specified in the technical data.
– Install the heat pump with a fixed mains connection.
– The required conductor cross sections must be deter-
mined by a qualified technician, using the values spec-
ified in the technical data for the maximum rated out-
put. In any case, take into account the on-site installa-
tion conditions.
– If the local power company stipulates that the heat
pump should be controlled by a blocking signal, fit an
appropriate contact switch, as specified by the power
company, and connect it to the heat pump with a two-
core cable.
