Cleaning the tank
a
Caution!
Risk of corrosion if the inner tank is damaged.
Make sure the enamelling of the heat exchanger
and inner tank is not damaged during the
cleaning work.
• Clean the interior of the tank with a water jet. If nec-
essary, remove any deposits with an appropriate tool
(e. g. wooden or plastic scraper) and flush out the
deposits.

Note!
You must replace any old or damaged seals.
Fitting the flange cover
• Place the flange cover with its associated gaskets
back on the cleaning eye of the cylinder.
• Tighten the screws.

Note!
Check the magnesium protection anode too
each time before you refill the cylinder after
cleaning.
8.2
Servicing the magnesium protection anode
The cylinders are equipped with a magnesium protec-
tion anode which has to be checked the first time after
two years and then regularly once a year. A chain anode
is also available as a replacement part for the VIN SN
350 i.

• Take out the magnesium protection anode (

) each
time the cylinder is cleaned and check it for erosion.
• If necessary, exchange the magnesium protection
anode for an equivalent original replacement part.

Note!
You must replace any old or damaged seals.
• Tighten the protection anode firmly again after the
inspection.
• Fill the solar cylinder and check it for water leaks.

Note!
As an alternative to regular maintenance, we
recommend the installation of a maintenance-
free universal external current anode
(Part No. 302042, not available in all
countries).
