• Now carefully pour approx. 10.5 l of Vaillant solar fluid
(Part No. 302 363) into the funnel until the fluid can
be seen in the sight glass (
1
).
• If less than 5 m of the 2 in 1 solar copper pipe has
been used in the system, you must then – while noting
the previous work step – drain off approx. 0.5 litres of
solar fluid from the lower filling connection
(see Fig. 8.3).
• Close the valve on the upper filling connection (
2
).
• Remove the hose and the funnel from the upper filling
connection.
• Now reconnect the two screw couplings between the
solar cylinder unit and the 2 in 1 solar copper pipe (see
Fig. 8.3).
Equalising the pressure
h
Note!
After replacing the solar fluid, it is possible
that there is air in or ahead of the collector
pump. It may therefore be necessary to restart
the pump several times in order to eliminate
the air. When the pump is running, this can
result in noise and vibration but they are
harmless.
When only solar fluid without air bubbles is
seen to be flowing towards the collector in the
sight glass in the solar line, there is no more air
in the collector pump.
• Perform a pressure equalisation, as described in
Chapter 6.4, immediately after filling with new solar
fluid.

Collectors
Check that the collectors are securely mounted at regu-
lar intervals (see recommended maintenance checklist).
8.6 Replacement
parts
Any spare parts which might be required are itemised in
the respective valid spare parts catalogues.
Enquiries will be answered by the sales departments
and the manufacturer’s customer service.
