Caution!
A sign should be attached close to the blow-off
line for the DHW safety valve in accordance
with DIN 1988 - TRWI, with the following word-
ing:
"For safety reasons, water escapes from the
blow-off line for the expansion relief valve dur-
ing the heating of the cylinder.
Do not block it."

Danger!
The outlet temperature at the expansion relief
valve or on the blow-off line can be as high as
90 °C.
The blow-off line must be led to a suitable drain
point where nobody can be put at risk.
There is a risk of scalding by touching these
components or the water escaping from them!
Inspection/maintenance and alterations
Inspection and maintenance work on and alterations to
the cylinder or controller, the water and power supply
lines and the blow-off line and expansion relief valve for
the storage water may only be carried out by a qualified
heating engineer.

4.1
General information
Remove contaminated clothing.
4.2 After inhaling:

Wash off with soap and water.

Flush out thoroughly with the lids held open under
running water for at least 15 minutes.
4.5 After swallowing
Rinse out the mouth and drink plenty of water.

Symptomatic treatment (decontamination, vital

6.1

6.2 Environmental measures:
Contaminated water/ fire water may not be dis-
charged into watercourses without pre-treatment
(biological sewage plant).
6.3 Cleaning/Collection methods:
Contain the spilled material and cover it with large
amounts of sand, earth or other absorbent material,
then sweep it up vigorously to facilitate the absorp-
tion. Fill the mixture into containers or plastic bags
and take away for disposal.
Pump out the product in the event of large quanti-
ties. Take up small quantities with a suitable hygro-
scopic material. Then dispose of in accordance with
the regulations. Wash away splashes with plenty of
water; inform the local water authority in the event
of large quantities which could flow into the drains
or watercourses.

Handling and storage
7.1
Handling:
Good ventilation of the workplace, no other particu-
lar measures required.
7.2 Fire and explosion protection:
No exceptional measures required.
Cool any endangered containers with water.
7.3 Storage:
Close containers tightly and store them in dry plac-
es. Galvanised containers must not be used for stor-
age.
