When operating the auroSTEP plus solar energy system,
please observe all operating manuals for the compo-
nents and assemblies of the system. These operating
manuals are enclosed with the relevant system parts
and additional components.

Storage of the documents
Pass this system and installation manual and all other
valid documents on to the owner of the installation. He
will then store it so that it is available whenever it is re-
quired.

tification plate.
2 System description
2.1 Identification

The identification plates on the auroSTEP plus solar en-
ergy system are fitted to the collector and the cylinder
unit.
2.2 CE
mark
The CE mark documents the fact that the appliances
satisfy the basic requirements of the directive regarding
electromagnetic compatibility (Directive 89/336/EWG of
the Council).
2.3 Intended
use
The equipment types listed in Table 1.1 to which this
manual is applicable are used for the storage and provi-
sion, as well as the controlled distribution, of hot water
that has been generated with the assistance of solar
technology.
The Vaillant auroSTEP plus solar energy system is a
state-of-the-art appliance which has been constructed in
accordance with recognised safety regulations.
Nevertheless, there is still a risk of injury or death to the
user or others or of damage to the device and other
property in the event of improper use or use for which it
is not intended.
The components of the auroSTEP plus solar energy sys-
tem are not intended for use by persons (including chil-
dren) having limited physical, sensory or mental capaci-
ties or who have inadequate experience and/or knowl-
edge, unless they are supervised by a person responsi-
ble for their safety or have been given instructions by
him regarding the operation of the components of the
auroSTEP plus solar energy system.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the components of the auroSTEP plus solar
energy system.
