4.4.3 Additional assembly steps for out-
door units
Roof segments
Air handling units for outdoor installation require the fol-
lowing additional assembly steps:

1 Roof segments
2 Self-adhesive joint sealing tape
3 Cover strips
4 Self-drilling screws with sealing washers
1. Seal all joints between the roof segments
( Fig. 16 /1) with self-adhesive joint sealing tape
( Fig. 16 /2). Follow the tape manufacturer's
instructions for use. Attach the cover strips
( Fig. 16 /3) and fix them with self-drilling screws
( Fig. 16 /4).
NOTICE!
Remove the eye nuts where the casing units
are to be joined so that you can actually join
the roof segments. Do not remove the other
eye nuts; they have to remain in place to pre-
vent the ingress of rain into the unit.

2. Seal the joints ( Fig. 17 /1) between the cover
strips with self-adhesive sealing tape (butyl tape).
Follow the tape manufacturer's instructions for
use.

3. Fix the connecting angle section for the roof seg-
ment with self-drilling screws and seal it with
sealant.
