FLAIL UNIT HEIGHT OF CUT ADJUSTMENT _______________________________
TO ADJUST SPANNER TYPE:
1.
Fit pin in range 1 or 2 (depending on height and
condition of grass) on cutter head mounting,
fasten with R-clip.
Note
As a Guide, it is recommended that you test the cutter head
mounting in both positions to get results best matched to
your cutting conditions.
Range 1
Decreases the height of the opening at the front of the
mower head. This setting will allow a lower height of cut. It
is best suited for regularly maintained turf up to a height of
75 mm (3 inch).
Range 2
Increases the height of the opening at the front of the
mower head to allow longer material to be cut. The
minimum height of cut is restricted on this setting. It is best
suited to mow longer material to a maximum of 200 mm (8
inch) or areas with irregular growth.
To adjust the cutter head from range 1 to range 2 can give a
quick height of cut change to adapt to different conditions.
2.
Release the locknut (B) below the adjuster (A) on
both sides of cutting unit.
3.
Turn the adjuster (A) at the rear of the unit to the
right to decrease the height of cut, or to the left to
increase the height of cut. The grooves (C) are a
rough indicator for setting the roll parallel.
4.
After adjusting secure by tightening locknut on
both sides of cutting unit.
