4.2 USB/RS-232C Remote Control Function Check
Functionality

Invoke a terminal application such as RealTerm or PuTTY.
To check the COM port number and other settings, see the
Device Manager in the PC. For Windows
Control panel →
System → Hardware tab.
Run this query command via the terminal after the
instrument has been configured for USB or RS-232C
remote control (page 64).

This should return the Model number, Serial number, and
Firmware version in the following format:
STW-9xxx, XXXXXXXXXXXX, V1.00
Model number : STW-9xxx
Serial number :12 character serial number
Firmware version : V1.00
CTRL+j can be used as the terminal character when entering
the queries/commands from a terminal application.
Display
When the panel is being remotely controlled via the USB,
RS232 or GP-IB interfaces, RMT will be displayed on the
screen.
