Adjusting the Stop for the Top

Part of the Joint

The adjustment of the stop on the top
part of the joint serves two purposes:

When Using the Joint with
the Lock Activated

Screw #2 on the back of the joint can be
used to adjust the locking behavior of the
lock. By adjusting screw #2, the tolerance
between the joint and the lock can be
influenced to ensure that the joint is secu
rely locked. First, open the lock screw #3.

Tighten the screw Lock locks only with

higher load.

Loosen the screw Lock locks with

relatively little load.

Tighten the lock screw #3 again (1 Nm).

This setting should be individually
adjusted for each patient.

When Using the Joint with
the Lock Deactivated

(Unlocked walking): The possibility to adjust
the top part of the knee joint simultaneously
allows you to adjust the safety / the flexion
behaviour of the joint.

Tighten the screw the top part of the

knee joint is moved

into a more flexed

position the joint

is easier to flex,

but standing

stability is reduced
