The joint allows for the AP position of
the adapter to be moved by a maximum
of 5mm. This way, standing stability can
be adjusted.
If the adapter is moved anterior (relative
to the load line), standing stability will
also increase (with simultaneous higher
resistance when flexion is initiated). If
the adapter is moved posterior, standing
stability will decrease (with simultaneous
lower resistance when flexion is initiated).
The top surface of the joint is furnished
with a milllimeter scale for easy adjustment.

The following joint settings are can be
adjusted if desired. We recommend follow
ing the suggested order of adjustments.
Adjusting Swing Phase Control
On the P41, swing phase control can
be adjusted with two seperate setting
screws. They are located on the back of
the joint, and can be used to indepen
dently adjust extension damping and
flexion damping. We recommend to start
by adjusting the flexion damping.
The Allen screws for setting the swing
phase control are marked with the letter
„E“ (extension damping) and the letter „F“
(flexion damping).
Tighten the screw more damping
slower movement
Loosen the screw less damping
faster movement
Please Note!
If you feel any resistance on the screw
while carefully tightening it, do not tigh
ten it with force. The resistance you feel
indicates that the damping has already
been set to the maximum setting, and the
damping valve may become damaged.
Adjusting Stance Phase Stability
The polycentric geometry of the P41 makes
for high stance phase stability of the joint
when the leg is extended.
