Adjusting the Brake Unit Friction
The brake unit friction can be adjusted
continuously, to improve standing stability.
The friction and the response behavior of
the brake unit can be adjusted with two
screws. First, open the lock screw #37.
Then start adjusting the brake unit with
screw #35, and afterwards use screw
# 48 for fine adjustment. Once the adjust­
ment is finished, tighten the lock screw
#37 again.
Tighten the screw ­ Friction gets
increased
Loosen the screw ­ Friction gets
decreased

Dynamic Fitting
The following joint settings can be adjusted
if desired. We recommend following the
suggested order of adjustments.
Adjusting Swing Phase Control
On the KnieAgil® PS21, flexion damping
and extension damping can be adjusted
seperately. This can be done with the
setting screws on the back of the joint.
We recommend to start by adjusting
the flexion.
The Allen screws for setting the swing
phase control are marked with the letter
„E“ (extension damping) and the letter „F“
(flexion damping).
Tighten the screw ­ more damping ­
slower movement
Loosen the screw ­ less damping ­
faster movement
Please Note!
If you feel any resistance
on the screw while carefully tightening
it, do not tighten it with force. The
resistance you feel indicates that the
damping has already been set to the
maximum setting, and the damping
valve may become damaged.
