adapters may not have any appli cable
locking torque at all, since they feature no
screw threads (e.g. 4­hole­adapter
with pyramid).
• Before the prothesis is handed over to
the user, all modular components have
to be secured against accidental
loosening or twisting with suitable
thread­locking fluid.
• Safety related regulations for individual
components (e.g. specific combination
possibilities, maintenance intervals etc. )
must be followed.
• If different components (from one or
from several manu facturers) are com­
bined: Only use components which meet
the requirements of DIN EN ISO 10328
and the Medical Devices Act.
• In the event of damage to a prosthesis
which combines components from differ­
ent manufacturers, every manufacturer
can only be held liable for the failure of
those components produced by them.
Beyond that, manufacturers can only be
held liable if their components can be
proven to have caused damage to or fail­
ure of components which were produced
by other manufacturers.
• The modular components may not be
reused on other persons.
• Always observe maximum load!
• Overloading the components will cause
the joint to fail and will represent a safety
risk for the user.
• Do not insert any spacers into the
pylon adapter!
• Cut adapter straight across!
Final Assembly
Do not use talcum powder or any other
powder. Powders bind fat and thus will
cause the joint to run dry. When putting
the cosmetic foam cover on the prosthe­
sis, silicone spray may be used.
For KnieAgil® Joints, the following torque
values should be applied:
•
4mm and 5mm screws: 7 Nm
•
6mm and 8mm screws: 12 Nm
•
10mm screws: 20 Nm
•
All locking screws: 1 Nm

Maintenance
If necessary, KnieAgil knee joints can be
cleaned with a damp cloth.
Conduct an annual visual inspection as
well as a performance test.
If required, send the joint to us for main­
tenance.
