MELODY 1 SERVICE & MAINTENANCE
Dependent on frequency of use, this lifting platform should be serviced at least every 6
months. This service should be conducted by competent persons trained in the service and
repair of the product.
If a lifting platform is to be installed in an adverse environment, the specifi er and supplier
shall determine the measures needed to ensure that safe operations are achieved including
more regular service intervals.
Note: Adverse environments are those that could affect safe operation. Examples include;
the effects of humidity, atmospheric pollution, solar radiation, swimming pool environs (this
product is not suitable for use in chlorinated environments), extreme temperatures, etc.
MELODY 1 SERVICE POINTS
1. Check for loose fi xings
2. Check the gate can only be unlocked within the fi rst 100mm travel
3. Check the lift runs less than 10mm from lift face
4. Check fuse ratings
5. Check no debris around or under the lift
6. Check earth bonding (mains to lift chassis should be less than 1 ohm)
7. Check emergency lowering system
8. Check gate emergency release system (if gate fi tted)
9. Check operation of bridging system (if fi tted)
10. Check gate i/lock operation on all gates fi tted
11. Check condition of rear pivot
12. Check emergency operation of car gate
13. Check operation of ramp safety switches
14. Check hydraulic hoses and cylinders for wear and leaks
15. Check security of guard rails
16. Check stopping height is to /- 12mm
17. Check operation and integrity of blind / bellows
18. Check for squeaks and rattles and rectify
19. Check that the load plate is fi tted
20. Check and lubricate all bushes and pivots
21. Check operation of remote control enabler(if fi tted)
22. Check S/Edges operate correctly
23. Charger voltage

25. Low battery’s fall under load

26. Bellows fi xed down in 4 corners
27. Oil level in pump
28. Grease upper level gate latch (if fi tted)
29. Ensure more than 150mm clearance around the lift
30. Ensure metal tie is secure around the main ram when the lift is at max travel
31. Check coduit, trunking condition
LUBRICATE
1. Lubricate base frame sliding blocks with grease (part no. TC012)
2. Lubricate hydraulic cylinder shaft + r cams with grease (part no. TC012)
3. Lubricate top sliding blocks with grease (part no. TC012)
4. Spray components within the bellows with Supertrol
5. Lubricate bowden cable with oil (part no. TC002)
6. Lubricate ramp pivots with oil (part no. TC002)
7. Lubricate gate interlock if fi tted with oil (part no. TC002)
8. Lubricate platform gate hinge roller bearing with grease (TC012)
