Standstill Regeneration
When the LCD screen displays the message
"Regen Warning Lvl 1" (level 1 or higher), the DPF
(Diesel Particulate Filter) requires a Standstill
Regeneration.
Note: At the end of the regeneration procedure,
make sure to move the Regeneration Enable
switch to the right, otherwise the machine
functions are locked.
During the DPF standstill generation process,
all boom functions are disabled.
Keep clear of the engine exhaust and muffler.
Don't leave the machine unattended.
The DPF standstill regeneration cannot be
activated if not requested by the engine, or in
the presence of some engine faults.
If the standstill regeneration request is ignored,
the soot in the DPF can reach extreme levels.
The filter will be permanently damaged and will
have to be replaced by a qualified service
technician.
If this occurs, the following message will be
displayed "Not possible, service needed".
Under emergencies, the DPF standstill
regeneration can be interrupted in three ways:
The engine is turned off by the key switch.
The ESC button is pressed.
The ESTOP stop button is pushed.
If this occurs, the standstill regeneration may
need to be restarted.
The DPF standstill regeneration cannot begin
until the engine has been run for at least two
minutes and the coolant temperature has
reached 35°C.
To start the regeneration, proceed as follows.
1
Close the engine side cover.
2
Select a safe parking location–firm and level,
clear of obstructions and traffic, clear of
flammable material and clear of explosive
gasses.
3
At the ground control panel, turn the key switch
to the ground position.
4
At the ground Control Panel, move the
Regeneration Enable switch to the left to
disable all the machine functions.
5
Press the control button 4 below the LCD
screen twice.
