Test the Oscillating Axle (if equipped)

Drive the right steer tire up onto a 6 in/15 cm
block or curb.
Result: The three remaining tires should stay in
firm contact with the ground.

Drive the left steer tire up onto a 6 in/15 cm
block or curb.
Result: The three remaining tires should stay in
firm contact with the ground.

Drive both steer tires up onto a 6 in/15 cm
block or curb.
Result: The non-steer tires should stay in firm
contact with the ground.
Test Auxiliary Controls

Push in the red Emergency Stop button to the
off position to shut off the engine.

Pull out the red Emergency Stop button to the
on position.

Press down the foot switch.

Simultaneously move and hold the auxiliary
power switch and activate each function control
handle, toggle switch or thumb rocker switch.
Note: To conserve battery power, test each
function through a partial cycle.
Result: All boom and steer functions should
operate. Drive functions should not operate
with auxiliary power.

Restart the engine.
Test the Contact Alarm (if equipped)

Do not activate the foot switch and press on
the contact alarm cable to release the actuator
from the switch socket.
Result: The contact alarm lights will not flash
and the machine horn will not sound.

Activate the foot switch by pressing the foot
switch down.
Result: The contact alarm lights will flash and
the machine horn will sound.

Insert the actuator into the switch socket.
Result: The lights and horn will turn off.

Activate the foot switch by pressing the foot
switch down and press on the contact alarm
cable to release the actuator from the switch
socket.
Result: The contact alarm lights will flash and
the machine horn will sound.
