Phaser 480 Color Printer

Checks and Adjustments

Adjusting for color misregistration

Horizontal misregistration

Turn off the printer.

Clean the platen roller, the pinch roller, ink roller and the rubber parts
of the clamp bar using 90% pure isopropyl alcohol.

Remove the top cover and the upper and lower rear covers as detailed
in the Section 8 procedure “The printer covers” on page 8-2.

Remove the engine control board cover which is held in place by two
screws (M3 x 7, panhead).

Print a registration test print as explained in the Chapter 6 topic
“Verifying print engine operation by using its self-test print” on
page 6-3.
