All drivers involved in using the machine must practice the mixing process by
running the mixer empty, as well as the rest of related operations like loading
and unloading, in order to become completelly familiar with them before
using the mixer when loaded.
•
Do not rush the learning process and do not take anything for granted, it is
essential that you become familiar with your new mixer before operating it.
•
Do not attempt to operate this equipment under the influence of drugs
or alcohol
.
Preparing the mixer:
•
Before using the machine, check that all safety devices are in place and in
good condition. If a protection is removed for maintenance or repair, reinstall
it immediately as soon as the maintenance or repair is completed. Damaged
protections must be replaced immediately.
•
The mixer is designed to be towed by a tractor. It is forbidden to use any
other type of vehicle to operate the mixer, as stability and visibility may vary
considerably.
When hitching up the tractor to the mixer consider the following:
•
Make sure there is no person close to the mixer when reversing when
making the approaching operation;
•
Use the jack to adjust the height of the machine and centre the drawbar with
the tractor, never center it manually. Carry out this operation with the tractor
and mixer in a completely horizontal flat surface;
•
By lowering the jack, make sure there is no risk of crushing.
•
Manipulate the mixer and tractor hitching elements with work gloves slowing
down the tractor engine to the minimum.
Once hitched, connect the PTO shaft, taking the following precautions:
•
Check the mixer has been successfully hitched to the tractor.
•
To prevent transmission damage, set the tractor drawbar to the
recommended position. The mixer should be leveled when connected to the
tractor.
•
Double check the tractor PTO is stopped.
•
Handle the transmission elements with work gloves.
•
Do not use loose clothing when performing this operation.
•
Do not pass or jump over the PTO shaft.
•
Observe the position of the PTO protections and place them in their correct
location (check the PTO has a tractor and a mixer side). Attach the PTO
