6. OPERATOR REQUIREMENTS
The manipulation of this mixer is limited to competent and experienced operators.
Anyone operating or working next to the mixer must use common sense.
In order to be recognised as a qualified, the operator must also know and meet other
requirements, such as;
a) Some regulations specify that no one under sixteen (16) years old, can
handle machinery.
b) Current OSHA regulations state that:
“When initially assigned and
thereafter, at least annually, the mixer owner shall instruct each employee
in the correct operation and maintenance of all equipment with which the
operator has to be in contact
”.
c) Unqualified workers should STAY OUT OF WORK AREA.
d) A worker that has not read and understood all the operating and safety
instructions, is not qualified to operate machinery.
