6. Remove the 6 bolts (M6 x 25mm) securing the
gearbox housing to the motor assembly.
When refitting, tighten these bolts to 12Nm
7. Remove the 2 bolts (M6 x 8mm) securing the
output end of the gearbox casing to the motor.
When refitting, tighten to 6Nm ± 1Nm
8. Remove the gearbox casing from the motor.
Note; there is no gasket or sealant between
the casing and the motor.
9. Remove the input shaft from the casing and
replace the bearing if required. The shaft oil seal can
now be replaced if necessary which should be fitted
flush with the bevel to the outside of the casing.
Refitting is the reverse of the removal procedure. Ensure the locating dowels are correctly fitted when
assembly the case halves to prevent oil leak when in use.
5. Remove the intermediate gear shaft from the
assembly.
If necessary, replace the bearings on the
output shaft and intermediate gear shaft.
