Pulse Activates the circulation pump via a short tapping operation or switch with pulse control.
Flow [V] > 0, then WWC active for time period ZIR11 CIRC. PULSE RUN-TIME , afterwards
WWC disabled for time period ZIR12 CIRC. PULSE OFF-TIME
The running and blocking times must be adapted to the volume in the pipe net, but should
be longer as 1 minute.
Protection - Maximum circulation
temperature As soon as the value ZIR02 TMAX CIRCULATION is exceeded at the TBZ sensor, the
WWC circulation pump stops.
Circulation modus with consumption Optionally, the circulation pump can be controlled with an active water consumption by the
active circulation mode or the water consumption support.
Whether the circulation mode is active with a consumption may be set by
ZIR13 Circ mode
with consumption .
0: on Circulation modus is always active with consumption
1: off Circulation modus is always inactive with consumption
8.3 Tapping support Functions
Tapping support When the option BAS05 CIRCULATION MODE is active, the "Tapping support" function
can be used to improve the control quality of the fresh water station.
For this, a minimum flow (switch-on threshold)
ZIR08 MIN.FL TAPPING SUPP. , a maxi-
mum flow (switch-off threshold) ZIR09 MAX.FL TAPPING SUPP. and a circulation volume
ZIR07 CIRCULATION FLOW RATE are defined.
If tapping is active and V is greater than STE15 MIN. TAPPING RATE , but less than ZIR08
MIN.FL TAPPING SUPP. , circulation pump WWC is activated to increase the flow rate.
If the tapping volume increases and exceeds the switch-off threshold ZIR09 MAX.FL TAP-
PING SUPP. , circulation pump WWC is stopped.
Function STE15 MIN. TAPPING RATE < SEK04 DHW FLOW RATE < ZIR08 MIN.FL TAPPING
SUPP. , then WWC active
ZIR09 MAX.FL TAPPING SUPP. < SEK04 DHW FLOW RATE , then WWC off.

The maximum flow rate ZIR09 MAX.FL TAPPING SUPP. is calculated from the circulation
volume ZIR07 CIRCULATION FLOW RATE plus the minimum flow rate
ZIR08 MIN.FL TAPPING SUPP. in l/ min.
Circulation volume The circulation volume ZIR07 CIRCULATION FLOW RATE is the throughput when circu-
lation pump is active with no tapping.
The value ZIR07 CIRCULATION FLOW RATE can be entered in l/ min or be determined
by means of calibration ZIR06 CIRC.CALIBRATION ; see "8.4 Calibrating circulation vol-
umes", page 29.
8.3.1 Protective function
Flow rate fluctuation If the flow rate moves in the range of the maximum flow (switch-off threshold)
ZIR09 MAX.FL TAPPING SUPP. minus the tolerance ZIR05 CIRC. CALIB. TOLER-
ANCE , a 3-min. timer starts; after it expires, the circulation pump WWC is stopped to de-
termine the current flow.
