Operating the answering machine from the handset
Note:
The display

shows how many of the
new messages relate to the current user. If
the message is not for the current user, the
handset returns to the standby state after
OK
has been pressed. If there are new
entries in the call register too, this is shown
as "Missed calls "after

has been
pressed.
Playing back recorded messages
You can play back new messages or
previously played back messages on the
answering machine as follows:
1.
Select "Playback".
2.
Press
OK
.
The messages of the currently set
user are played back.
Instead of
New message 1
, the display
may show the following:
•
New message 2
if new message 1
has already been played back
•
Old message 1
, if there are no new
messages
• Caller's number (e.g.
624 21 11
) if it
is transmitted by the network (CLIP)
• Name from the directory of the
handset (e.g.
Uncle John
), if the
number of the caller is identical with a
number contained in the directory
• Caller’s name (e.g.
John Smith
) if it
is transmitted by the network (CNIP)

the handset. If there are new
messages, they are played back
first. If there are only messages
which have already been played
back, the machine begins by
playing back the oldest message.

(Rewind) twice in quick
succession.
