Euro-ISDN
Your Eurit 535/565 is intended for connec-
tion to the Euro-ISDN. The Euro-ISDN is a
digital network which is uniform all over
Europe. It provides a wide range of
functions which are either included as part
of your connection or are available as sup-
plementary services.
There are various types of Euro-ISDN con-
nections which differ by the extent of avail-
able functions. Your Eurit 535/565 supports
all the functions provided by the Euro-ISDN.
However, it is possible that you won’t be
able to use some of these functions be-
cause they do not form part of your con-
nection package. Please refer to the docu-
mentation from your provider for informa-
tion on the features of your connection
package.
Network operator
You can make your telephone calls via vari-
ous providers, irrespective of the provider
or network operator who provides your
connection.
The features available to you from those
provided by your Eurit 535/565 depend on
your provider or network operator.
User concept
Your network operator allocates up to 5
telephone numbers to you (technical term:
multiple subscriber numbers MSNs). The
allocated multiple subscriber numbers
MSNs have to be saved as MSN A, MSN B
etc. via one of the logged-on handsets. The
set automatically allocates MSN A to user
A, MSN B to user B etc.
It then becomes necessary to specify a user
name (e.g. home, business, Anna, …) for
users A, B, C, D, E. After this, individual
settings can be specified and used for each
MSN (user). These become valid as soon as
the respective user is dialled (change user).
Up to 6 handsets can be allocated to each
programmed MSN (user).

At least one MSN must be programmed
and one user name must be specified to
take advantage of all the features of your

grammed.
