Messages (SMS in the fixed network)

Your Eurit 535/565 supports the network
service "Messages" (SMS) provided the
SMS service of the provider (protocol) is
compatible with that of Eurit 535/565. The
service makes it possible to exchange brief
messages of up to 160 characters in length
between ISDN telephones that also support
the function "Messages" (SMS), and GSM
telephones.

Make inquiries at your network operator/
provider concerning:
• the net service calling line

identificaton presentation (CLIP);
it must be switched on;

• the net service calling line

identificaton restriction (CLIR);
this must be switched off at your
connection;

• whether you must announce/log off

the net service messages (SMS);

• to which operators you can transmit

and receive from an SMS;

• which special features are to consider;
• which costs are calculated for

transmitting and receiving a SMS .

Additional  information  to  the  network
service  messages  (SMS)  you  receive  from
your  network  operator  or  under  its
telephone number or Internet address.

The messages function is not supported by
all countries or providers.

• Forward messages
• Delete messages

Note:

At  least  one  MSN  and  user  must  be
specified before any message (SMS) can be
sent.
Your telephone can store up to 10 received
messages.If  the receiving memory is fully
this will be  displayed by the flashing letter
symbol.  From  now  on  no  new  messages
can't be received any more.
In order to receive further messages from
the network, first at least one old message
must be deleted.
Each  message  must  be  provided  for
technical  reasons  (e.g.  charging)  by  the
MSN, even if it is suppressed by you.
Transmitted  messages  are  stored  in  the
sending-list  of  the  appropriate  handset.
Received  messages  are  stored  in  the
reiceiving-list of the relevant user.
