Messages (SMS in the fixed network)
Sending a message (SMS)
Before you can send a message (SMS) to
an addressee, you first have to key in this
message (max. 160 characters):
1. Select "Messages".
2. Press
OK
.
3. Select "Send".
4. Press
OK
.
5. Enter the character sequence via
the keypad (for details on keying in,
see the section "Basic settings and
operation").
You now have the following options:

Change case.

Select input position in the text
(back/forward).

Delete character.
OK
End positioning in the text or text
entry.
6. Press
OK
(end text entry).
7. Enter destination number via
keypad.

select destination number from
the directory.
8. Press
OK
.
The message is sent, confirmed
with "Message sent" and saved in
the submenu "Outbox".
If sending the message was
unsuccessful, the respective error
message appears and the message
is saved in the submenu "Unsent".

Setting the gateway number
Before you can use the network service
"Messages" (SMS), a gateway number
must be set. In the default state, the
number has already been set.
1. Select "Messages".
2. Press
OK
.
3. Select "Gateway-nr.".
4. Press
OK
.
5. Enter the gateway-nr.
6. If necessary correct it with

.
7. Press
OK
.
