FI SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS 4-95
Step 1 (When indicating P1658:)
1) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2) Lift and support the fuel tank. (

3) Check the EXCVA motor coupler for loose or poor con-
tacts.
Is the contacting OK?
4) After repairing the trouble, clear the DTC using SDS tool.

Step 2
1) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2) Remove the right under cowling. (

3) Check the installation of EXCV cables. ( 6-9)
If it is necessary, adjust the EXCV cables. ( 6-8)
4) Disconnect the EXCVA position sensor coupler .
5) Turn the ignition switch ON.
6) Measure the voltage between the R wire terminal
and
ground.
7) If OK, then measure the voltage between the R wire terminal
and B/Br wire terminal .
EXCVA position sensor input voltage: 4.5 – 5.5 V
( R – Ground)
( R – B/Br)

8) After repairing the trouble, clear the DTC using SDS tool.
