4-36     FI SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS

“C11” (P0340) CMP SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION

INSPECTION

1) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2) Lift and support the fuel tank. (

5-3)

3) Remove the air cleaner box. (

5-14)

4) Check the CMP sensor coupler 

 for loose or poor contacts.

If OK, remove the CMP sensor. (

5) Connect 3 new 1.5 V batteries in series, 1 k

Ω

 resistor and the

multi-circuit tester as shown in the illustration.
