Do not force the limits of the compression spring; therefore damage could be done to

the unit.

Position  of  the  fertilizer  tube:

with  the  two  bolts:  E  the  position  of  the  tube  is

adjusted, tightening one and loosening the other and vice versa, move the tube until it

almost touches the surfsce of the disk, this is the correct way to deposit the fertilizer.

PLANTING UNIT

Filling with seeds

According to the soil hardness, proper

adjustment of all components of the planting

unit will be adjusted

to obtain the correct

seed application. Figure 18.

A.  Pressure of the units.

B.  Depth registration.

C.  Pressure of the Seed press wheels.

D.  Angle and pressure of the

covering/closing wheels.

Pressure of the planting units

Every  unit  is  equipped  with  two  springs  (A)  that  can  be  set  on  five  different  positions  to

provide proper working pressure:

The  position  seen  on  figure  19  provides  more  pressure  to  the  unit´s  normal  weight,  thus

achieving  more  penetration  of  the  opener  discs,  and  obtaining  a  constant  working  depth,

from normal soils to hard ones.

The position seen on Figure 20 adds even more pressure, which can be convenient if work is

being done en very soft or sandy soils.

Be sure that every planting unit of the planter has the same registration.
