5.18.x firmware features
5.18.x firmware has the following new feature:
●
VCMON integrated into 5.18.x firmware.
Prior to 5.18.x customers could install a cut-down version of the
Continuous System Telemetry Harness, (CSTH-lite) on the admin
workstation to monitor CPU core voltage (VCORE) drift on there Sun
Fire Mid-range Servers.
Starting with 5.18.x Voltage Core MONitoring (VCMON) has replaced
CSTH-Lite, and is integrated into the ScApp. VCMON is designed to
detect potential CPU core voltage (VCORE) drift conditions on system
uniboards, which are indicative of potential processor attach issues.
Another term you may see used is CVTM (Core Voltage Telemetry
Monitor).
