Resetting a hung domain
reset
A hung domain should automatically reset if
hang-policy=reset
.
If
error-reset-recovery=sync
a core file will be generated.
If hang-policy=notify, you will need to issue the reset command in the
domain shell. Note, reset will not work if the keyswitch is in secure.
By default, reset uses an externally initiated reset (xir) to reset the
processors in the domain.
showresetstate
If error-reset-recovery=none, you have an opportunity to gather reset states using
the domain shell command showresetstate.Navigate from OBP to domain shell as
illustrated on page 101.
