Earth Leakage Test

1. Reference

Figure 13-2

below.

2. Select the

“Protective Earth Leakage Measurement” mode on the ESA.

3. Using test leads, connect the gi4000 equipotential ground connector on the rear

panel of the gi4000 ESU to the input receptacle on the front panel of the ESA.

4. Measure the earth leakage in the following three (3) test conditions:

Normal Condition

- NORMAL POLARITY, CLOSED NEUTRAL, CLOSED EARTH

Single Fault Condition No. 1

- REVERSE POLARITY, OPEN NEUTRAL, CLOSED EARTH

Single Fault Condition No. 2

- NORMAL POLARITY, OPEN NEUTRAL, CLOSED EARTH

5. Record the measured value from the ESA on the 00732974 Preventative

Maintenance Test Data Summary Sheet

– gi4000 ESU.
