Sensing Pad Error

Verify positive connection of the patient dispersive
electrode connector in PSS Return Receptacle.
Verify proper application of the Sensing dispersive
electrode on the patient per manufacturer
instructions.
Visually inspect the dispersive electrode cord and
connector for evidence of cracks, breaks or other
signs of damage. If damaged, replace the
dispersive electrode or dispersive electrode cord.
WARNING:
Non-Sensing Pad Error

Verify positive connection of the patient dispersive
electrode connector in PSS Return Receptacle.
Verify proper application of the dispersive electrode
on the patient per manufacturer instructions.
WARNING:
Check Argon Line
Medium Priority
Check all connections of ArConnect® argon probe
connector and argon coagulation probe. Verify that
no lines are pinched or clogged.
WARNING:
Check Argon Gas Bottle
Medium Priority
Continue turning clockwise firmly until the bottle is
fully engaged. This can be anywhere from ¼ to 2 full
turns tighter, even after seeing the GREEN Argon
Gas Bottle
icon appear. Do not stop turning until the
bottle is fully seated and cannot be turned any
tighter to prevent argon from leaking at the bottle.
If the GREEN Argon Gas Bottle
icon does not
appear, remove the bottle by turning
counterclockwise and take it out of the gi4000.
Inspect the brass threads for damage. If the threads
are undamaged, while using gloved hands, pour a
few drops of sterile water onto clean gauze and
lightly wipe around the brass threads. Reinstall the
argon gas bottle.
WARNING:
Verify footswitch pedals are
NOT depressed during self-
check.
Medium Priority
Remove foot from footswitch. Do not press
Footswitch pedals (including Standby Button) when
unit is going through POST.
WARNING:
Footswitch may be faulty.
Contact Technical Services.
Medium Priority
Cycle unit power. If warning notification reappears,
power unit OFF. Unplug Footswitch from rear panel
of unit. Power unit ON. If unit goes through POST
successfully, the Footswitch is faulty. Contact
STERIS Customer Service for a replacement.
