13.2.2 Electrical Safety Test Procedure
The following equipment is required to perform this test:
•
gi4000 ESU
•
Power Cord
•
Electrical Safety Analyzer (ESA)
•
Monopolar Test Adapter (8mm to 4mm)
•
Bipolar Test Adaptor
•
CAT III Rated 4mm Banana Jack Test Leads
•
Insulated Alligator Clips
•
Argon Gas Bottle
Earth Continuity Test
1. Reference
Figure 13-1
below.
2. Connect the ESA power cord to a grounded AC mains outlet with appropriate
voltage/current rating.
3. Connect the gi4000 power cord to the Equipment/DUT Outlet on the ESA.
4. Power ON the ESA.
5. Using test leads, connect the gi4000 equipotential ground connector on the rear panel
of the gi4000 ESU to the input receptacle on the front panel of the ESA.
6. Record the measured value from the ESA on the 00732974 Preventative Maintenance
Test Data Summary Sheet
– gi4000 ESU.
