8.3.3.12 Analogue Variables
Overview of the analogue variables:
- Analogue variables number
- Description
- Type
Functions are defined by operating the “Edit” button.
To receive a more flexible adaptation of the instrument to special tasks,
there are provided analogue value variables which can be freely
configured by the user. The variables are at disposal as input or output
values for several function modules (formula, analogue multiplexer, etc.);
output as a DAC value is possible as well.
Several variables (number: see
→
function basic data) of the types Integer (16 bit), (with and without sign), Integer (32 Bit), IEEE Real (32
bit, floating point), or text variables can be defined; for this purpose a memory for up to 200 16-bit memory words is available. Hence the
needs of addresses for the different types of variables are as follows:
Integer
1 address
IEEE Real
2 addresses
Text
2 text characters per address
ATTENTION!
To avoid overlaps in distributing the addresses, the needs of memory must be exactly taken into consideration for the different types of
variables!
The
representation of ranges
(range limits) in CONFIGURATION depends on the variable display format which has been chosen here. If this
is modified, the ranges must be re-entered, too.
From a
control system
or the
visualization page
read/write access to the memory of variables is possible in any format. In the control
system the variables are mapped in an address range of 4500…4699.
NOTE:
•
The content of variables is kept conserved in case of a power failure.
•
The content of
all
variables with initialization mode = „Fixed“ is reset to the initialization value, if
- Any variable configuration is changed (whatever what; whatever which variable: all are reset)
- The turn-switch for the PLC operating mode selection is turned to position “2-Reset” or “3-MReset”
- Change of the software revision
•
The content of
all
variables with initialization mode = “None” is reset to 0, if
- The turn-switch for the PLC operating mode selection is turned to position “3-MReset”
- Change of the software revision
Digital-Variables
A configuration of digital variables, as it is done for the analogue variables, is not necessary, because access to the control system is
performed directly (as it is for the computer function inputs and outputs). Digital input variables can only be read; output variables can be
read and written. For each of the 800 digital variables function inputs and outputs 2000…2799 are reserved (see also REFERENCE LISTS of
the function inputs and outputs).
