Substitute Actual Value
A “Substitute Actual Value”, which is activated in case of identified AV-error for the control actual value or by an external
input (for each control zone in each case), can be specified for each control actual value in configuration.
As substitute actual values can be used:
- actual values (Av)
- formula values (X)
- variable values (V)
The substitute actual value activated assumes all the functions of the control actual value; this also includes the auto-
optimization function for the substitute actual value.
Substitute Setpoint Value
Every control setpoint value can also be switched via an external input (for each control zone in each case) to a configurable
“Substitute Setpoint Value”.
As substitute setpoint values can be used:
- other setpoint values
- actual values (for specification of setpoint value with an actual value)
- formula values (X; e.g. for cascade control)
- variable values (V)
Manipulated Variable Y Limitation Floating with the Setpoint Value
Each control zone can be operated with a Y limitation, the
maximum permissible Y value floating with the setpoint
value. Floating limitation is specified in configuration by
entering four values.
Example
(see adjacent figure):
Setpoint value range
0...1400

Y-minimum
20 %;
Y-maximum
100 %;

Y limitation must be activated by means of a separate external function input (FI 49…68) for each control zone; specific
program sections can therefore be run without Y limitation.
Switching in of Y limitation can be effected where overshooting is to be suppressed. Y limitation, where activated, can also be
taken into account in auto-optimization.
Controller ON/OFF
Each control zone can be switched off via function input (FI 25…44). In switched off condition a “DISA” or “DISH” (for
disabled-automatic or –manual) is displayed in the controller overview.
This input is a static one, i.e., the control zone remains switched off as long as the input is activated.
In case of a switched off controller (regardless which type of controller) the output goes to 0.0 (in display/analogue
output/function output). The input of the manual value is possible (is also represented in the display), but an output of a
manual value (analogue output/function output) takes place if the controller is active again.
Controlling takes place during switching on from the last working point for all types of controllers.

Y (%)
Up to 400 °C Y = 20 % is admitted. Within 400...1000 °C
Y glides from 20 to 100 % with the setpoint value. Over
1000 °C Y = 100 % is admitted.
