7.11.4 Operating the HORN mode

The user can select the type of horn from “Horn” and “Siren”.
1. Press the

MENU

key to display “

”.

2. Rotate the

DIAL/ENT

knob to select “

PA FOG

”, then

press the

[SELECT]

soft key.

3. Rotate the

DIAL/ENT

knob to select “

HORN

”, then

press the

[SELECT]

soft key.

4. Rotate the

DIAL/ENT

knob to select “

HORN

” or “

SIREN

”,

then press the

[SELECT]

soft key.

5. On the “Horn” and “Siren” modes, press the

[HORN]

soft key to activate the tone through the HAIL/PA

speaker.

Press the

[FOG VOL]

soft key, then rotate the

DIAL/

ENT

knob to control the AF output level. Press the

[ENTER]

soft key. The AF output level can be set from

0 to 30 watts.

6. To listen back, rotate the

VOL

knob.

7. Press the

CLEAR

key to return to radio operation.

7.12 INTERCOM OPERATION

In addition an optional

RAM4

remote station microphone must be connected to

perform intercom functions between the

GX6500E/GX6000E

and the

RAM4
