18.2 RAM4 SOFT KEY ASSIGNMENT
From this menu, you can assign desired functions to each
RAM4
soft key from
numbers 01 to 12. You can also set how long the soft key icon will be displayed
after the corresponding soft key is pressed. The keys maybe setup to control
the following functions:

MARK POSITION
Marks the current position for a “Waypoint”.

SCAN MEMORY
Add or remove channels from memory channel scan.

PRESET
Programs or deletes the preset memory channel.

MAN OVER BOARD Marks the position where a person falls overboard.

Enables the noise canceling settings display.
CH NAME
Edit channel names.
STROBE
Turns on or off the strobe light LED.
SCRAMBLER
Configures the secret communication settings.
COMPASS
Enables the “Compass” display.
WAYPOINT
Enables the “Waypoint” or “Route” navigation display.
PA/FOG HORN
Select PA, FOG HORN, or HORN mode.
INTERCOM
Activates intercom between radio and RAM4 mic
(optional RAM4 required).
GPS LOGGER
Starts and stops logging position data.
AIS DISPLAY
Shows the “AIS” display.
FOG HORN
Activates the Fog Horn function.

PUBLIC ADDRESS Activates the PA function.
RX RECORD
Records received voices.

RX SENSE
Toggles between LOCAL and DISTANCE.

IC SELECT
Select the device you want to communicate with using
the intercom.
PLAY
Plays recorded voices.
