CLEANING
1) Unscrew the wing nut from the air filter cover and remove the cover.
2) Pull out the filter elements.
3) Pull the foam filter cartridge out of the paper filter cartridge.
4) Inspect both filter elements and replace if damaged. Change the paper filter cartridge according to the
maintenance schedule.
5) Clean the filter inserts if they are going to be reused.
6) Air filter paper insert: Tap the filter insert a few times over a hard surface and shake any dirt off, or blow the filter
from the inside with compressed air at a maximum pressure of 207 kPa. Do not clean with a brush, so that the
dirt gets into the fiber layer.
7) Air filter foam insert: Blow through with the compressed air at a pressure of max. 207 kPa.
8) Use a damp cloth to wipe away dirt from inside of the air filter bed and from the air filter cover. Make sure that
no dirt gets into the air intake that leads to the carburetor.
9) Put the foam filter element over the paper and assemble the air filter elements together.
10) Replace the air cleaner cover and tighten the wing nut on the cover
5.9 FUEL SYSTEM
CLEANING THE FUEL TANK
While the mower is in use, dirt may accumulate in the fuel tank, which may cause the fuel system to clog up when
the mower is operating.
The tank may only be emptied by suctioning petrol, taking all precautions when handling fuel.
The fuel tank venting system is integrated into the tank cap, where it is ended by a flip valve closing the venting
system when the mower is overturned.
WARNING
Do not smoke or handle open flames near gasoline when working with gasoline.
CHECKING FUEL LINES AND CLAMPS

Check the fuel system clips. If any clip is loose, replace it with a new one.

Every two years replace the fuel hoses and clips with new ones. (If one hose is damaged before two years
have passed, the entire system needs to be replaced at the same time).
REPLACING THE FUEL FILTER
The fuel filter is replaced every 200 hours of operation.
1) Ensure safe operation of the mower
2) Turn off the engine and mower.
3) Arrange access to the engine area. See also:

5) Install new fuel filter.
