MOWING WITH THE USE OF WINCH
WARNING
Driving on slopes is very demanding for an operator, as he hast to constantly evaluate information on
the movement of the machine and the character of the terrain. Especially important is the wheel
adhesion to the grass or other surface and the angle of the mower.
Pay attention to climatic conditions. Do not rely on securing the mower to the rope. The climbing ability of the
mower will be radically different on dry, wet or moist grass slopes.
Climbing ability and the mower
’s behavior will also depend on the ground’s conditions. On a newly built slope, the
probability of slipping will be significantly higher than on a hard ground.
TWO METHODS TO MOVE THE MACHINE ON THE SLOPE
When working on a slope using a winch, use
only the following two methods to move the machine:
WARNING
When working with the stabilizing winch across the slope or when traveling up the slope, the mower
must always run in accordance with the winch function to maintain the winch stabilizing ability
– when
traveling up or across the slope the winch drum is winding up the rope. Otherwise, the rope will loose
on the drum and the winch will stop maintaining the STABILIZATION function
Unwinding the rope from the winch is only permitted when driving down the slope.
Do not drive the mower into bushes or similar obstacles (even when driving off a slope) that you would like to mow
because the mower may stop or pause and the rope will become loose and tangled. The rope must always be
tightened.
In case the wheels lose contact with the ground, the winch will not able to stabilize the mower.
