Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws securing the upper access
panel to the right side of the library (see Figure 9-13 on page 82).
Rotate the bottom of the access panel outward to disengage the tabs from the top of
chassis, then lift the access panel off the chassis and set it aside.
Removing the Transporter
1.
To improve access to the ribbon cable connector on the transporter, position the
transporter and the picker as follows:
If you are accessing the transporter from the front of the library, push on the
base of the carriage (Figure 9-12) to position the transporter toward the left side
of the library.
Grasp the front edge of the picker and gently move it toward the front of the
library. Leave the picker in the horizontal position.
If you are accessing the transporter from the right side of the library, grasp the
base of the carriage (Figure 9-12) and pull the transporter toward you.
Grasp the front edge of the picker and gently move it toward the front of the
library. Gently rotate the picker 90
°
clockwise as viewed from the right side of
the library so that it is in a vertical position (Figure 9-14).

Locate the ribbon cable connected to the transporter (Figure 9-14).
