Caution Messages
Use the list below to check the meaning of the
messages displayed on the screen.
Message
Frequency is out of range!
Please check INPUT-A in SIGNAL
SELECT.
Please check INPUT-B (or INPUT-
C) in SIGNAL SELECT.
Please check INPUT-D in SIGNAL
SELECT.
Please replace the Lamp.
Meaning
The frequency of the input signal is out
of the acceptable range.
You have input the RGB signal from
the computer when INPUT-A in the
SIGNAL SELECT menu is set to
COMPONENT, DTV-GBR or DTV-
YP

You have input the RGB signal from
the computer when INPUT-B (or
INPUT-C) in the SIGNAL SELECT
menu is set to COMPONENT, VIDEO,
S-VIDEO, DTV-GBR or DTV-YP

You have input the HDTV signal which
is different from the setting of INPUT-D
in the SIGNAL SELECT menu.
Replace the lamp.
Remedy
Input a signal that is within the range of the
frequency.
Set INPUT-A correctly (page 28).
Set INPUT-B (or INPUT-C) correctly (page 28
or 29).
Set INPUT-D correctly (page 29).
Consult with qualified Sony personnel for the
lamp replacement.
