GY-2120WD/WS

6. Writing in flash memory

After checking the version, press the RECOVER button on the front panel to start writing in the flash

memory. First “Now

Downloading” is displayed on the LCD, followed by “Download xx CPU” (xx indicates the CPU type).

When all writing completes, the tape is automatically ejected, and GY-2120 returns to the normal opera-

tion mode.

When writing is started by pressing the RECOVER button, never turn off the power until the tape is

ejected.

GY-2120 automatically reboots up to twice until the tape is ejected and the process is completed. Take

note that even if rebooted, it does not mean that the process has ended until the tape is ejected.

It takes up to 8 minutes for the tape to be ejected and all processes to be completed after pressing the

RECOVER button.

If not writing in the flash memory, press the DIAG hole. After “Dnld Cancel” is displayed on the LCD,

the tape will be ejected automatically and “DIAG: 099

9999” is displayed on the LCD.

If the RECOVER hole is pressed accidentally, continue pressing the UNLOAD button while “Now

Downloading” is displayed on the LCD.

GY-2120 automatically reboots, and returns to the normal mode.

However as the tape will not be automatically ejected in this case, press the EJECT hole and eject the

tape.

If the EJECT hole is accidentally pressed in the attempt to write in the flash memory, press the ejected

tape again and then press the RECOVER hole.
