6-1-2. Activation of Maintenance mode

n

The result display and numerical value on the terminal screen described in this section are one example

and differ from those of the actual unit.  Both capital and small letters can be entered as an alphabetical

character unless otherwise specified.

In this section, “CTRL-C” key means that “CTRL” key and “C” key are used combination.

Self-dignosis mode (For more details, refer to Section 6-2-1.)

This mode is used to check the GY-2120.

Activation

:

Enter “DIAG” from the PC in a capital letter and press the ENTER key.

Termination :

Enter “QUIT” from the PC and press the ENTER key.

Log display mode (For more details, refer to Section 6-2-2.)

This mode is used to display the history of the SCSI sequence and internal operation state.

Activation

:

Enter “LOG” from the PC in a capital letter and press the ENTER key.

Termination :

Enter “QUIT” from the PC and press the ENTER key.

Download mode (For more details, refer to Section 6-2-3.)

This mode is used to download the firmware of GY-2120.

Activation

:

Enter “FDL” from the PC in a capital letter and press the ENTER key.

Termination :

Enter “QUIT” from the PC and press the ENTER key.

Vendeor information set mode (For more details, refer to Section 6-2-4.)

This mode is used to set each vendor information.

Activation

:

Enter “CUSTOM” from the PC in a capital letter and press the ENTER key.

Termination :

Enter “QUIT” from the PC and press the ENTER key.

Service set mode (For more details, refer to Section 6-2-5.)

This mode is used to set the baud rate of RS-232C.

Activation

:

Enter “SERV” from the PC in a capital letter and press the ENTER key.

Termination :

Enter “QUIT” from the PC and press the ENTER key.

This mode is available only when No.8 of DIP switch on the rear panel is ON.

Drive maintenance (MDRV) mode (For more details, refer to Section 6-2-6.)

This mode is used to check and adjust the drive of the GY-2120.

Activation

:

 Enter “MDRV” from the PC in a capital letter and press the ENTER key.

Confirm that “MDRV=>” is displayed on the PC, then enter “2” and press the

ENTER key.

Termination :

 Enter “QUIT” from the PC and press the ENTER key.

Confirm that “MDRV=>” is displayed on the PC, then enter “QUIT” and press the
ENTER key.
