Solarflare Server Adapter
User Guide
pfiov=<enabled|disabled>
Enable switching of traffic between any PFs. When
disabled traffic is switched only between a PF and
related VFs.
pf-count=<pf count>
Specify the (per port) number of available PCIe
physical functions in the range 1-8. Default value is 1.
The setting is applied to all ports on an adapter and
MAC address assignments may change follows
changes with this setting.
port-mode=<Default|10G|40G>
Configure the port mode. This is for SFN714xQ
adapters only. MAC address assignments may change
follows changes with this setting. It may be necessary
to change the number of physical functions after
changing the port mode.
Default is 40G.
msix-
limit=<8|16|32|64|128|128|25
6|512|1024>
Specifies the maximum number of MSI-X interrupts
the specified adapter will use. The default is 32.
Note: Using the incorrect setting can impact the
performance of the adapter. Contact Solarflare
technical support before changing this setting.
sriov=<enabled|disabled>
Enable SR-IOV support for the operating systems that
support it.
SR-IOV is not supported by Solarflare adapters on
Windows Hyper-V servers.
vf-count=<vf count>
The number of virtual functions advertised to the
operating system. The Solarflare SFC9000 series
device has a limit of 1024 interrupts. Depending on
the value of msix-limit and vf-msix-limit, some of
these virtual functions my not be usable.
vf-msix-limit=<1|2|4|8>
Maximum number of MSI-X interrupts a virtual
function may use.
firmware-variant=<full-
featured | ultra-low-latency
| capture-packed-stream |
auto>
Identify the firmware variant to use on SFN7000
series adapters only. The default is auto.
insecure-
filters=<enabled|disabled>
If enabled, bypass filter security on non-privileged
functions. This is required for some applications, but
reduces security in virtualized environments.
