Solarflare Server Adapter

User Guide

If you selected i

SCSI booting

as the boot type, click the

iSCSI Initiator

tab and continue with

the following steps.

If using DHCP to configure the adapter’s network settings at boot time, ensure

get iSCSI Initiator settings

If you are not using DHCP to get the initiator name, clear

Use DHCP to get the initiator name

and enter a iSCSI Qualified Name (IQN) in the Initiator name field.

DHCP vendor Id

specifies the device vendor ID to be advertised to the DHCP server. This

setting is always enabled and not affected by any of the other DHCP options. See

DHCP Server

Setup on page 356

for more details on this and other DHCP options.
