Create the AutoUnattend.xml File
The AutoUnattend.xml file is used during the installation of Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2 and
Windows 7 to automatically populate the various configuration settings.
To associate your AutoUnattend.xml file with your custom install image:

Copy the
AutoUnattend.xml
file to the following folder in the
RemoteInstall
folder:
RemoteInstall\WDSClientUnattend
.

Open the Windows Deployment Services MMC snap-in, select the custom install image with
which you want to associate the file, right-click and then select
Properties
.

Select the
Allow image to install in unattend mode
option.

Click
Select File
and browse to your
AutoUnattend.xml
file.

You can use the Windows System Image Manager (Part of the Windows Automated
Installation Kit) to create the
AutoUnattend.xml
file.
